摘要：众所周知，2008年由美国次贷危机引发的全球金融危机给各国造成了惨痛的损失，而由此也开始引发了对国际金融体制改革的呼声。从我国的基本国情出发来说，通过人民币国际化的形式可以防范和减少外部经济环境对我国造成的不良影响，同时也有助于减少外汇的储备损失，降低中国企业所面临的外汇风险，敦促我国的金融体制改革，提升中国在国际中的地位和影响力、获得更大的政治经济话语权等方面有一定作用。因此加快推进人民币国际化进程的步伐就显得尤为重要，而作为人民币国际化的主要推动力--自贸区的建成则引起了相关人士的格外关注。
本文即通过上海市自贸区的建成对人民币国际化的影响收集整理了国内外相关研究者近几年的十几篇文献，从上海市自贸区建成前后人民币的国际地位和国际影响的变化以及人民币国际化的进程中上海市自贸区的建成所发挥的影响作用，通过正反两个方面来分析、总结自贸区的建成对人民币国际化“加快人民币国际化步伐”“持续推动人民币国际化进程”“为人民币国际化利率市场化铺路”“提高和改变人民币在国际中的地位”这四个方面的影响，同时分析其影响机制，最后预测我国未来经济发展的方向。
