Abstract
Individualism can be said to be an essential component of American culture. Adapted from super classic heroic comedy made in DC Comic Corporation, the movie Superman has achieved extensive attention since its release. This movie also makes effective propaganda for the research on individualism, the core value of Americans. This thesis will deal with individualism value from individual freedom and individual development by means of analyzing the conversation and behavior in the movie so as to make us have a further understanding of individualism embodied and functioned in American people’s daily life.
