Abstract:This thesis aims to analyze how can the affective factors influence primary students’ performance and what can be done to reinforce or diminish the influence. The inspirations come from the definition and categories of affect and the analysis of the learners’ emotions in the process of language learning. Positive emotions facilitate the performance of the learners while the negative ones hampers. This thesis investigates the problems occurring in the real situations of teaching, the solutions to which are well presented. Teachers ought to encourage the positive emotions and avoid the negative ones.
