ABSTRACT

 

Along with the deepening of the globalization and informationization, China has gradually become an indispensable part on the world stage and draws more attentions of the people from different countries. The political neologisms are constantly emerging with the development of the society. 

    This thesis will focus on the C-E translation of the political neologisms from the government work report in China 2014 based on Nida’s equivalent translation theory. Based on the existing theoretical achievement, on the one hand, the author will summarize the problems in the translation of political words; on the other hand, the author attempts to put forward effective principles to guide the translation of government work report.
