Abstract
The Bible is the primary and major source of European culture. It has had a formative influence on all the major European and North American culture. At the same time, the Bible provides inspiration for masterpieces of the literature, the art and man’s thought. Friendship is an indispensable part of life and has a great influence on our lives. Sociologists, philosophers and so forth are discussing this eternal but long-lasting topic. The topic continues to be added new meaning with the development of the times. In view of this, this article will explore the new connotation of friendship from the perspective of Bible. It can not only meet the community’s needs for cultural diversity, but also provide some value for our friendship in life. This paper mainly adopts the methods of literature research and case analysis. It will list the verses of Bible about friendship by the study of a large number of literature, and then explore the origin of friendship,the existence of friendship as well as the power of friendship, and finally give the rational proposal for the study.The thesis is going to deal with the theme of friendship from the perspective of Bible by citing many scriptures. The purpose is to enable people to get a better understanding of friendship and boost the sensitivity to the biblical knowledge of a foreign language and culture.
