Abstract

Feminist movement is originated from the Western progressivism. In the history of human society, the concept of human rights had been existed for more than 200 years, but the concept of human rights did not include woman's rights in a fairly long period of time.British feminism is not derived from the Marx doctrine, but from the early Utopian socialism. As far as marriage is concerned, the socialists at that time thought that marriage should be free and based on mutual attraction and pure love. "Since the traditional society allows men to love as it is that women should be given a sexual relationship according to their own aspirations to freedom." (Schaller Ferrier). Therefore, it is more reasonable to analyze Rebecca from the perspective of feminism. Rebecca's pursuit of herself, of happiness, and even the efforts to break the boundaries of the aristocracy and the working class have made her the leader of feminism, rather than a vicious slut with a messy private life.

Key words:Rebecca; Feminism; Male chauvinism; Evil
