Abstract
Kate Chopin is a famous female writer in the United States, especially to describe the American women desire for spiritual freedom and emotional independence. The story of an hour is her masterpiece, which depicts the awakening of female consciousness and the strong desire for freedom. From the perspective of feminism, this paper analyzes the complex psychological and emotional changes of Mrs.Mallard, and as a clue to interpret this novel. What women really want is to take control of their own destiny, gain the freedom of the body and soul, and enjoy equal rights.
