Abstract: Ecofeminism is a combination of ecocriticism and feminism. It explores the connection between the exploitation and degradation of the natural world and the subordination and oppression of women. Thomas Hardy is a great English novelist and a typical naturalist. In his works, nature and women always merge into one organic whole. This thesis will interpret Tess of the d’Urbervilles in the light of ecofeminism, and show Hardy’s views and cares towards nature and women from a new angle. It reveals the intimate relationship between Tess and nature, criticizes industrialization and patriarchy that lead to the degradation of nature and domination of women in the novel.

摘要：生态女性主义是生态批评和女性主义结合的产物。生态女性主义探究的是自然的开采、恶化与女性的附属、受压迫之间的关系。托马斯·哈代是英国伟大的小说家，同时也是个典型的自然学家。在他的作品中，自然和女性总是可以融为有机的整体。本篇论文将从生态女性主义的角度解读《德伯家的苔丝》，借此新的角度展示哈代对自然和女性的观念和关怀。揭示苔丝与自然的亲密，批判工业化和父权制以及其在此作品中对自然与女性的迫害和统治。
