Abstract:With the globalization of the world, the coexistence of various cultures is obvious day by day and the cross-cultural communication becomes more and more important. Under different cultural backgrounds, there are tangible differences in people’s values and modes of thinking. Thus, cultural gaps and conflicts are apt to come into being. And family value is a unique and complex part in Chinese and western cultures. The paper is to give a detailed analysis in the differences of Chinese and western family values in the aspect of family education, marriage views and filial piety culture through the film Joy Luck Club. Through comparing the differences between Chinese and western family values，it’s helpful for Chinese and western people to absorb the essence and discard the dross of both cultures, to analyze the differences between Chinese and western family values. And it’s also helpful to deepen the understanding and increase the communication between Chinese and western countries to construct a more harmonious world.

摘要:随着全球化趋势的蔓延，不同文化之间的交融日渐明显，跨文化交际显得越发重要。由于所处文化背景不同，人们的价值观念和思维方式有明显的差异，因此很有可能会产生一些文化隔阂和冲突。而家庭价值观是中西方文化差异中最独特,也是最复杂的一部分。本文借助《喜福会》这部电影，主要从中西方家庭教育观，婚姻观和孝文化三个方面对中西方家庭价值观之间的差异进行详细的分析。对比中西方家庭价值观之间差异，有利于中西方人民取长补短。从而也有利于加深中西方之间的相互了解，增加交流，构建更加和谐的世界。
