Abstract: Body language plays a important role in English teaching, especially for the primary school students. The essay mainly discusses the application of body language to primary school English teaching. Based on the features of the primary school students in learning English, body language should be appropriately applied to different types of English teaching, especially the vocabulary teaching, the listening teaching, speaking teaching as well as the reading teaching. In each type of lesson, different functions of body language should be focused on. However, inappropriate way of applying body language may also bring about trouble. Several suggestions are listed at the end of the essay. In a word, the appropriate application of body language can make English teaching in primary school more effective.

摘要：体态语在英语教学中占有绝对重要的地位，尤其是在小学英语教学阶段。本文主要探讨了体态语在小学英语教学中的合理应用。基于小学生在学习英语的特点，体态语应该被应用于各种不同的课型，尤其是词汇教学，听力教学，口语教学以及阅读教学。每种课型关注的重点是不同的。然而，体态语的不合理运用同样也会造成一定的麻烦。在论文的最后列举了一系列的注意事项。总之，在小学英语教学中合理地使用体态语有助于保证课堂教学的有效性。
