Abstract：Emily Dickinson was the most famous poetess in American literature. She wrote about 1800 poems and only 7 of them were published during her lifetime. Dickinson’s subjects are love, death and nature. She wrote about 500 nature poems. In her nature poems, Dickinson uses perceptive observation and distinctive images to express her feelings. This paper is about the techniques and writing characteristics in her nature poems. I will show Emily Dickinson’s writing techniques by analyzing two of her nature poems about animals.

中文摘要：艾米莉·迪金森是美国文学史上最著名的女诗人。她一生创作了1800多首诗歌，在她生前仅仅出版了7首。迪金森的诗歌主题是爱情，死亡和自然。迪金森写了500多首关于自然的诗歌，她通过敏锐的观察力和独特的意象来表达对自己的感情和对大自然的态度。本文主要写迪金森的自然类诗歌特色和写作特色。本论文通过赏析两首艾米莉·迪金森关于动物的自然类诗歌来展现说明她的诗歌特色和写作特色。
