【摘 要】 新闻杂志的封面人物照，是吸引读者的重要因素之一，美国的新闻周刊《时代》杂志，便是在封面人物照运用上的佼佼者，它的封面人物照所具有的认知功能，显著功能，以及评论功能，远远超过了一张普通照片的价值，并逐渐成为人们对于某些新闻事件和新闻人物的丈量标杆。
